All macarons come in big and petite sizes. What we have here are almond macarons with vanilla buttercream, chocolate with peanut butter, hazelnut with chocolate, and pistachio with vanilla. The cookie shell is always a nut meal (almond, pistachio, hazelnut) folded into whipped egg whites. The outer dome is just resistant enough to the tooth to build a moment of anticipation that gives way to a delightful chew. The filling? Buttercream, made with sugar, whole eggs and butter. Sometimes simple vanilla, sometimes blended with homemade peanut butter or chocolate.

Ingredients

The four ingredients for the Macarons include: sugar , eggs , almonds and unsalted butter .

Note: Baked goods may include additional ingredients such as salt or baking powder not listed here.
