I toast my pistachios, then grind them into pistachio meal for these macarons. And if I say these taste green, would you believe me? The macaron is sweet, but there's something wonderfully savory about the pistachio shell. It needs nothing more than a simple vanilla buttercream to make it complete.

The four ingredients for the Pistachio Vanilla Macaron include: sugar , eggs , unsalted butter and pistachios .
